The ball has dropped, so has my free Homeowner Checklist!
The ball has dropped, the ornaments stored away, and the last of the pine needles have been swept up for the season. It’s officially January and I have to say, as excited as I am for a new year, I’m not sure I’m ready to get out of the fog that is the last two weeks of December and live in reality again.
Here are a few things I’m doing to my home to keep it cozy (sans holiday decor) to soften the blow of our Holiday break coming to a close:
- Slowly bringing decor back into each space to reevaluate where I want everything to go or if I even still want it at all.
- Rearranging furniture…or at least considering it. Before everything is back where it was before Christmas, try moving your furniture around to see if there is a layout you like better!
- Assessing our lighting. I love the glow of Christmas lights on the tree…should I add a lamp or two to our living room to give it a similar cozy feel?
- Putting away: anything holiday specific. Keeping out: anything cozy with winter vibes. Goodbye Christmas trees, hello snow globes! So long Nutcrackers, stay a little longer white sherpa throw blanket
- I’m swapping out Holiday Playlists with cozy ones (I love Susan Tedeschi Radio & New Boots!)
Cheers!
Merrill
